For those of you who don’t know, Petco Park in San Diego is quite possibly one of the coolest stadiums in the country. It has a ton going for it: it’s a relatively new park (opened in 2004), it has an amazing surrounding neighborhood sitting in beautiful downtown San Diego, it’s incredibly family friendly, it offers great views and affordable seats, the food is above average for ballpark food, and the staff is about as friendly as you’ll find!
If you’re a baseball lover and have a chance to spend a day, night, or more in classy San Diego, you MUST see a Padres game at Petco Park. Chances are, the Padres will lose; but chances are, you’ll have a sweet time regardless.
The Dedmons and the Angiers hit up Petco Park last Friday, May 18, for some interleague action between the Angels and Pads. Blended with a weekend at the goldmine Lafayette Hotel, an enjoyable dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery, and two visits to the SD Zoo, Petco Park did not disappoint this time around. The Angels were winners 7-2, and plenty of fun was had!
